Latex paint is not a hazardous material but it needs to be dried out before putting it with the rubbish.
The 2017 Household Hazardous Waste collection schedule is as follows:
Saturday June 24, 2017 and November 11, 2016 9:00am to 12:00pm
Landfill, 101 Fitchburg Road (RT 31S)
Saturday July 1st, 2016 and October 14, 2016 9:00am to 12:00pm
Gardner Landfill, 744 West Street, Gardner MA
(Fitchburg Residents are eligible to use this facility free)
Saturday March 25, 2017, June 17, 2017, August 19, 2017 and November 18, 2017
Leominster DPW garage, 109 Graham Street, Leominster MA from 9:00am to12:00pm
(Fitchburg residents are eligible to use this facility for a fee, cash or credit card only)
Registration is no longer required, however proof of residency will be necessary at the site, any questions may be directed to Frank Sepiol, Environmental Protection Manager at (978) 355-6821 (office) or (413) 519-3916 (cell).
There is a 50 gallon limit and only 5 gallons of gasoline per vehicle.
Transport your materials safely: Leave materials in original containers, do not mix chemicals. Use sturdy boxes, not bags, t
to pack your materials. Do not smoke near the materials.
Businesses or non-residents may participate as a Very Small Quantity Generator for a fee. Businesses must provide their Very Small Generator Registration at the event. Pre-approval needed by the Environmental Protection Manager @ (413) 519-3916.

Contractor reserves the right to reject unacceptable materials.
