Fitchburg Flag Football

In Partnership with the North Central Massachusetts Police Athletic League, we are pleased to announce the Fitchburg Flag Football Youth League for boys and girls ages 7-17.  This is a recreational flag football league following the provisions of the NFL Flag program through USA Football. Teams will play 16 league games and participate in single elimination playoffs.

The League will run from early April through late June and will consist of a brief 15 minute practice followed by two games a week. All league scheduled games and practices will take place on Sundays.

Registration for Fitchburg Flag Football will open on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Registration is available online or in person at the Recreation Department.

Players requesting a specific coach or team will be added at the discretion of the League Coordinator per Fitchburg Recreation Team Selection Policy.

We're please to announce a new Teen Division for current high school students. Build your own team! To register a team (Teen Division Only) just fill out a team registration form and have your players submit participation forms. All can be found inside the Teen Fitchburg Flag Football Registration Packet. Registration is $50 a player!

Consent & Release Form

All Participants must:

  • Have a Current Consent and Release Form on file with the Recreation Department prior to the start of the season.
  • Visit and register with USA Football for a free membership and player insurance prior to the start of the season.


Tryouts have been Postponed until April 2, 2017. Time and location are to be determined. An email will be sent out to participants and announced online prior to tryouts. Field conditions are a factor in locations. Try-outs will not eliminate any players, but serve to help balance the teams.
