Municipal Buildings

City Hall and other municipal buildings are open to the public. By order of the Fitchburg Board of Health all persons are required to wear masks or face coverings at all times, when social distancing is not possible, while inside all areas of City of Fitchburg municipal buildings (including, but not limited to City Hall) and schools (public, private, parochial and vocational) including all buildings at Fitchburg State University. This order also applies to Fitchburg Housing Authority buildings.

This order applies to all persons over FIVE (5) whom are indoors in a municipal building within the City of Fitchburg, except where a person is unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition or the person is otherwise exempted by Department of Public Health guidance. A person who declines to wear a mask or cloth face covering because of a medical condition shall not be required to produce documentation verifying the condition;

COVID-19 Testing

The City of Fitchburg is encouraging residents to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by testing when you become sick with COVID-19 like symptoms. COVID-19 (PCR) Nasopharyngeal Swab Testing is available through a free drive-thru testing site on Mondays through Thursdays from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Nursery Lane entrance to the Fitchburg Municipal Airport. Vaccination Information

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics are available in Fitchburg and throughout Massachusetts. All people ages 5 and older who live, work or study in Massachusetts are eligible to receive a vaccine. Individuals 5 through 17 are eligible for the Pfizer Vaccine. Individuals 18 and older can receive any vaccine.
