FIREWOOD AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC
AT COGGSHALL PARK
The City of Fitchburg Department of Public Works is making Firewood Permits available to the public. People interested in cutting and removing firewood in designated areas of Coggshall Park may obtain a permit and map at no charge at the DPW office on the 4th floor of City Hall, 718 Main Street, on weekdays between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Those obtaining a permit must sign a release of liability form.
Trees must be dead and lying on the ground to be considered for firewood. No standing trees- alive or dead- may be cut. Firewood cutting and removal are permitted only while the park is open. The Electric Avenue gate opens at 7:30 A.M. and closes promptly at 3:45 P.M.
