Conservation Commission

The Mission of the Conservation Commission is to administer the Wetland Protection Act (MGL CH 131 s 40), the Erosion and Sedimentation Control ordinance and the local Conservation Ordinance in such a way as to protect the natural resources of the City of Fitchburg.

Conservation Commission meetings are usually on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Room, first floor, City Hall.  However, meeting dates are occasionally subject to change, and meeting agendas are sometimes full.  Applicants are advised to call the Community Development office at: 978-829-1890 to confirm meeting dates.
