The Office of the Planning Coordinator has completed Fitchburg's Comprehensive Plan, the Vision2020 Master Plan. This document was presented to the Fitchburg Planning Board on June 16, 1998, and adopted on September 22, 1998 by the Planning Board.

The Office of the Planning Coordinator couldn't have finished this project without the assistance of the many Fitchburg residents who gave their time and expertise in the drafting of this document. Much thanks and praise go to the many citizen volunteers who helped with this project!

This document is available in Adobe pdf format, which requires your browser to have the free Adobe Acrobat reader.

Timothy Smith and Joseph Boyle of the Planning Office were principally responsible for guiding the preparation of this document through to completion. A special thank you goes to them for the long hours and dedication of these two former staff persons for the excellent job they did on this master plan, Fitchburg's first since 1969.
